Shiatsu
Balance Mind-body-soul
Slow down and recharge with shiatsu, the Japanese art of relaxation and healing.
A fully clothed bodywork treatment using acupressure, rotations and stretches to restore and enhance the flow of the body’s life force energy.
I discovered shiatsu about ten years ago; in search of greater balance and nervous system regulation. I became so passionate about it as a healing modality that I retrained. I bring my trauma-informed approach to the way that I offer shiatsu, aware of its potential to support everyone to feel safe in their body.
Health professionals, psychotherapists and counsellors can benefit in multiple ways from shiatsu. It provides care for the carers, movement for those in sedentary jobs and a space to return to yourself and untangle from your caring role.
Shiatsu can:
Provide pain relief
Reduce stress
Improve circulation
Regulate the nervous system
Decrease fatigue and improve sleep

Shiatsu is used as a balancing treatment to stay in good health. It can be used as a complementary treatment for ongoing health conditions or recovery from injury. It is also a great support during life transitions or challenges such as pregnancy or perimenopause.
Wear loose comfortable clothing to receive shiatsu. The session will start with an open conversation about your health and well being. You can tell me about any issues you are dealing with and any health conditions you have. I will answer any questions you may have.
The treatment lasts for about 45 minutes and it is usually enjoyable and relaxing as you notice the sensations of energy moving around your body. I will work with any issues you bring, for example treating your shoulder pain or attending to your emotions. Sessions cost £50 and take place in Whalley Range. Please enquire for low-cost spaces.
Clients come at a frequency that suits them and the support they need.
