Counselling
My Approach
I am a warm, open, trauma-informed counsellor. My approach is informed by nearly twenty years of helping clients to make long-term changes in their lives. Working holistically and creatively, I provide a non-judgmental space for you to explore your issues and to develop understanding and self-compassion. This in turn leads to the possibility of deep and lasting change.
An Open Space
My work is rooted in the person-centred approach. I have helped many clients overcome a variety of issues including:
• anxiety including panic and phobias
• attachment issues and trauma
• depression
• grief and loss
• relationship difficulties
• work related issues
• loneliness
• stress
• sexual violence
• trauma
• peri-natal issues
• menopause
An Inclusive Space
My practice is neuro-affirming and I welcome clients from all backgrounds. I am an LGBTQ+ ally.
Therapy is a collaborative endeavour and finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is important. I offer a free initial call to find out if we might work well together, to help you live life more fully.
What happens next?
Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is important. I offer a free initial video call of about 20-30 minutes to find out if we might work well together. This will give you an opportunity to tell me about your issues, find out about how I work and answer any questions you may have. It is important to me that I get to know you, so that I can tailor our work to suit you.
I offer regular in-person sessions from my home office in Whalley Range or at the Gestalt Centre in Fallowfield, Monday and Thursday, during the daytime and early evening. Sessions are £65 for an hour.
I am an accredited member of the BACP and adhere to their Ethical Framework. I take your confidentiality seriously and only keep your details for the purpose of my counselling business. I am happy to talk to you more about how I use your data. I am BUPA registered.
Often reaching out is the hardest part so feel free to contact me in the way that suits you best.d to elevate what matters most.
